Homecoming 2025 with Carl White

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—Ingomar Baptist Church will host our very first Homecoming Service on Sunday, October 5! My prayer is that this will become a beloved annual tradition where we gather to celebrate God’s goodness, reconnect with one another, and honor the history of our church.

A Special Day Together

Homecoming is more than just a service—it’s a family reunion for the church. We’re inviting both current members and former members to come home for this special day.

We’re especially honored to welcome Bro. Carl White, who pastored Ingomar Baptist from 1984–1990. This will be his first time preaching here since he left in 1990! While he was with us during the church’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2006, he didn’t preach that day—so this is a long-awaited return. Bro. Carl is excited to be back, and we’re looking forward to the message God has placed on his heart.

What to Expect

Here’s how the day will unfold:

  • 9:00 AM – Sunday School, as usual.
  • 10:00 AM – Homecoming Service in the sanctuary with Bro. Carl White.
  • After the service – A potluck meal in the fellowship hall. Mrs. Renee McCay will coordinate with Sunday School classes about dishes to bring (just like she does for Thanksgiving).

Following the meal, we’ll spend the afternoon enjoying fellowship together—playing dominoes, board games, and simply catching up around the table. Please note: there will be no evening service that day.

Celebrating God’s Faithfulness

This Homecoming Service is all about remembering God’s faithfulness to Ingomar Baptist Church and rejoicing in the fellowship we share as His family. To make the day special for our younger ones, Mrs. Marci and the Children’s Committee are planning some fun activities for the kids.

We hope you’ll join us for this historic day in the life of our church. Let’s celebrate where God has brought us—and look forward with faith to where He’s leading us next.
